12/31/2022-Drawthing Day Zero:The start of a very long journey... I was so excited to start my little drawing challenge that I decided to start a day early. No clue why I decided on Taffy/Brackish.

01/01/2023 - I was struggling really hard with trying to draw victory for the first time...

01/01/2023 - I was really so unconfident about this one that I felt the need to post the sketch as well as the colored version, eheh

01/02/2023 - Early on, Taffy was actually much more inspired by the older sister from Wataten, hence the hair. This was also the first drawing that wasn't just a floating head, and it looks... really bad

01/03/2023 - This one's really bad. First time trying to draw Cilantro/Coriander, and I had no idea what she should look like beyond "woman in suit." I very heavily referenced one of Indra's (Arknights) alternate outfits for this one, and it doesn't look good.

01/04/2023 - First drawing of Acrid/204, 820's counterpart. Short hair is pain.

01/05/2023 - Acrid attacking Brackish, first time drawing characters interacting and side-view. Didn't turn out good.

01/06/2023 - Extreme close-up of 820's robot half, Sylph, staring at you. Didn't like this originally, but it's grown on me a bit.

01/07/2023 - I thought this one was great when I first finished it, but looking back I find it a bit embarrassing. The idea was cute, though! I enjoy the thought of 820 being really annoying to share a bed with.

01/07/2023 - And once again, I worried that I may have messed this one up during the coloring process, so I felt the need to post the sketch as well.

01/08/2023 - First time trying to draw Victory, heavily referencing a reference sheet commissioned of her a while back. Not great.

01/09/2023 - Victory again. I dislike the facial expression here, and gave up part-way through, hence the "820 of I gave up"

01/10/2023 - This was originally going to be something completely different, but I drew too big and kept messing things up so I tried to pivot into it just being a yawn. Looks rough. Notice that one of the hands is backwards >.>

01/11/2023 - Another one of Acrid - I quite liked how this one turned out at the time, and even now I think it looks alright.

01/12/2023 - Brackish upside down gaming. I still really like this one, actually, I think it's super cute. IIRC, this was heavily referenced off of a piece of fanart of the girl from that angel anime

01/13/2023 - Another fun idea! I like the thought of Acrid and Brackish being really bad influences on 820, and a dumb girl staring down the barrel of a gun and accidentally pulling the trigger is a fun thought.

01/14/2023 - Another good idea, 820 getting flustered and accidentally squeezing a coffee mug so hard that she breaks it.

01/14/2023 - The reason the first one's uncolored here is because I didn't want to draw it twice, lol. Between the first and second images I just erased the parts that changed, haha.

01/15/2023 - Changing Brackish's hair didn't go well on this one. No idea how it turned out the way it did >.>

01/16/2023 - I went crazy on this one tbh... I mean, it's not great, you can tell by how deteriorated the paper is from erasing, the weird snouty-ness of the profile view faces, the fact that 820's robo stuff is on the wrong side because I accidentally drew her on the left... but it's our first bit of yuri! That's something to be proud of.

01/17/2023 - 820 roaring at you! This one isn't exactly well-executed, but I think the pose is quite cute. I also like this early era where I was still always trying to fit in the 'normal top teeth, sharp metal bottom teeth' idea.

01/18/2023 - smug 820! this one's pretty cute, I think. Another one's that's obviously poorly executed, but I think it's cute.

01/19/2023 - I taped this one to the wall above my bed.

01/20/2023 - A large page of frustrated small drawings. I think I was trying to figure out how to draw cilantro/coriander/whatever her name was at this point and gave up.

01/21/2023 - I think I drew this in the car, at night, on the way to help my girlfriend give away her old air conditioner or something?

01/22/2023 - ahhhhhhhh...... the sketch for the cute handstand 4koma.

01/23/2023 - Love love love this one still. It's a super cute idea, and I think one of my first little attempts at doing something violent. I think this was my first drawing that managed to get attention... Not a ton, but I beleive this one was the first domino that led to a few very speicifc good things happening.

01/24/2023 - Direct follow-up to the lovely handstand comic, I still think this one is cute as well. A not bad attempt at drawing Cilantro, I think.

01/25/2023 - Didn't like this one when it was finished, don't like it now. Strange proportions and body shape, some kind of obvious errors.

01/26/2023 - The limbs and stuff on this one turned out a bit weird, but I like the big shirt, sleepily wandering through the house with a knife, etc.

01/27/2023 - Supposed to be Brackish as Hex Maniac from pokemon. Don't like the facial expression.

01/28/2023 - 820 as Acerola! Genuinely really like this one, it's super cute. I had a lot of fun trying to color in the dress with only pencil.

01/29/2023 - This one was a funny idea, I think. Brackish, originally conceived as a weird witch girl character, levitating a slice of pizza into her own mouth.

01/30/2023 - I was trying to draw 820 lying in bed drawing, I think, but it felt impossible to figure out at the time. This was the first bit of practice for the connected drawings from 2/14 to 2/20.

01/31/2023 - An attempt at drawing 820 drawing that went really poorly.

02/01/2023 - Celebration of the first month being complete... genuinely really cute. It's not technically impressive, and honestly I find it a little embarrassing, but I can tell I was happy about this.

02/02/2023 - Don't like how the top looks here, but the pose is rather cute.

02/03/2023 - A wip - I believe the reason that it went unfinished is that I was at my girlfriend's place for the weekend and got sidetracked.

02/04/2023 - Finished version of 2/3, which I think is cute! I couldn't figure out the hands, but I like her holding the two umbrellas like weapons.

02/05/2023 - First time drawing 820 in a cute nightgown, I think! She looks rather tired.

02/06/2023 - Drew hands holding each other. This was planned to be part of a full drawing, but I ran out of time.

02/07/2023 - And the drawing that the hands were for! A pretty cute image of Acrid and Brackish about to kill you

02/08/2023 - 2/7's drawing made me like the idea of a 'magic-shooting gun' or something similar for Brackish, so I tried to work on that some more.

02/08/2023 - And I also drew a small Miku, since it was day 39 of daily drawthings.

02/09/2023 - Scribble. I actually don't remember the circumstances of this one... It could've been bad, or busy, or I was practicing for Valentines' idea?

02/10/2023 - 820 peeking at you from inside a dumpster. This was a lot harder to draw than I expected it to be...

02/11/2023 - Work hard, hard worker !! She's preparing for the special thing on valentines' again.

02/14/2023 - Alright, here's this. I've been dreading writing about this little mini-series for a while, but I can't really avoid it forever >.>

02/15/2023 - This changed a lot as I tried and failed to draw the scenes I had in mind for it, so there were a lot of compromises, but

02/16/2023 - The general idea was that 820's big sister, Victory, comes home drunk and angry and a lot of bad things happen.

02/17/2023 - I was very fond of the idea of Sylvie being scared, trying to get her to stop, while Sylph tried to act tough and threaten her away

02/18/2023 - ...even though we know Sylvie would never let her follow through. One thing that comes up (a bit inconsistently) here

02/19/2023 - is the idea of Victory seeing herself as some kind of demon, and Sylvie as an angel, and it being unclear whether it's some

02/19/2023 - sort of supernatural ability to see what people really are inside, or just a hallucination or imagining caused by her regretting her actions.

02/20/2023 - Anyway... even though this wasn't very well-executed, I still think some of these (2/17, 2/18) are really, really good, and I had a lot of fun working on this little story.

02/22/2023 - 820 as a cat for 2/22, cat day! i thought the one-ear thing was cute because it makes her look like the kind of creepy stray cat that scratches you really bad and gives you a horrible infection

02/23/2023 - First redesign!! This one was really fun to work on, I love love loved the half-tucked shirt and the little shorts with the belt. Made the hair easier to draw too, ehe

02/24/2023 - Redesign is clearly catching on quick, though I'm obviously having a bit of difficulty drawing separate legs instead of being able to hide them behind a skirt.

02/25/2023 - 820 in an eyepatch! This has been an optional part of her design basically since conception, but I think this was the first time I drew her with it.

02/26/2023 - This was one of my first few attempts at a drawing with a background! I had a lot of fun with it, but it was hard to figure out how to draw trees and stuff, and 820 ended up a little squished due to being right at the edge of the page.

02/27/2023 - Blue poison from arknights! I like frogs a lot and this was probably my favorite character back when I played regularly. In this drawing she was going to be doing a 'love beam' type pose, but I remember messing up the hands really badly and cropping them out.

02/28/2023 - Love this one a lot. 820 scar showcase, complete with slightly overkill burn scars on the face, ligature marks on the neck, and the Y-cut typically used in autopsies. In her case, that last one is never really allowed to heal over, as it's the way they get in to do maintenance on her internal systems.

03/01/2023 - Second month celebration! I remember going out and getting a little case of black cherry soda to celebrate at the time... Very silly, but I was happy to have made it so far.

03/02/2023 - Normal breakfast? The thought behind this was 'it takes a lot to keep a thing like 820 alive', and I thought it'd be cute if she did a bad job of lying and trying to appear normal.

03/03/2023 - Still love this one, and kind of want to redraw it... I wanted to draw 820 cutting her eye out due to a sudden memory of a creepypasta about symmetry that I read when I was a kid.

03/04/2023 - First try at drawing pre-machine 820... I really liked the striped shirt design for her early on. I'm also glad that the hairclips have stayed a consisted element of her design, I think they're really cute.

03/05/2023 - Young 820 again, plus young Victory! I was never really sure what to do about Victory's hair... I thought I wanted it to be a simple, combed-back kind of style to show that she didn't really care how it looked and just wanted it out of her face, but I could never really get it to look right.

03/06/2023 - First drawing in a "real" sketchbook. I remember being really surprised at how thin the paper was and how smooth the pencils moved across it.

03/07/2023 - This one is adorable, honestly.

03/07/2023 - I really loved the idea of someone embarrassing 820 by being nice and her accidentally lashing out and attacking them.

03/08/2023 - Whatever the original drawing for today was meant to be turned out horribly, and in my upset I allowed myself to draw 820 stabbed in the stomach.

03/09/2023 - 3/9 is miku day, so I drew 820 in a miku costume (cute!!)

03/19/2023 - This one didn't turn out great? The body is a bit usually rectangular and there's a few other issues, but I think drawing 820 as the evil dead guy was a cute idea.

03/20/2023 - This was the first drawing featuring C, Brackish, and Acrid after a bit of a gap. I think it's cute.

03/21/2023 - 820 as a gross abandoned cat in a box. I might've been going through it a little when I had the idea for this one? But now I just think it's really cute.

03/23/2023 - I need to draw this girl again SOON !! Getting back to this I realize how much I love the spiderlegs coming out from her back, the extra eyes, the coveralls half-off and tied around the waist, it's so good dudes omg. The battery with the little black widow hourglass aghhhh. Part of the original concept for this character was her giving you a bear hug and stabbing all of her spiderlimbs into your back unexpectedly :D

03/24/2023 - Two halves of a girl that hate each other a whole whole lot, because one of them loves fire and the other is terrified of it. Cute stuff.

03/24/2023 - Her face turned out a little rough on the first attempt, so I drew it again separately. I like the braid.

03/25/2023 - Ahhhh, these two(four?). Best friends cut in half vertically and stitched back to each other. Adorable concept. One of them sucks and they fight a lot, the other has all their best traits and they get along perfectly. The original two girls are also still conscious and connected to themselves psychically.

03/26/2023 - 820! Soon to be something a little special

03/27/2023 - Love this idea, and it's executed pretty cutely. 820 accidentally tearing up a plushie while she sleeps...

03/28/2023 - and brackish repairing it for her!! This one is executed less well, but it's a really cute idea too.

05/24/2023 - This one was actually 5/24's drawing, finished just after midnight. I don't like the execution much, but the idea of a weird girl offering to help patch up one of 820's wounds after a fight but instead just jamming her finger into the bullethole is really funny

06/01/2023 - and continued a bit here, though I depicted it in a much more interesting way, with new-820 suffering a little.

06/02/2023 - And this made me get over it almost instantly. Girls kissing is the most important thing in the world

06/03/2023 - and this is the start of Victory's redesign! it was a long time coming, and i still thing the glasses and hair are really cute.

06/04/2023 - more attempts at figuring out C... I still think I prefer her in a suit.

06/05/2023 - the 5 main characters with their relationships to each other pointed out. cute stuff. I like the changes to Acrid's arms here.

06/06/2023 - i was going insane when I drew this one... my Target had posted a few drawings of herself as a robot and I went crazy imagining it being friends with 820.

06/09/2023 - And this one's really cute. The implication with the labcoat draped over the stump is meant to be that Victory is the one taking the picture.

06/10/2023 - I loved this one too... I was doing a lot of silly stuff with Brackish at the time, and I had fun drawing the pages fluttering around her and her hair getting blown out of her face and stuff.

06/11/2023 - A drawing of 820 sleepy that actually isn't super low-effort! I had a very strong desire to draw her surrounded by plushies and stuff

06/12/2023 - I always think this one is more recent than it actually is... I love it a lot.The thought of getting all tangled up in barbed wire is super cute.

06/13/2023 - This one's not as good as I was hoping it'd be, but I really wanted to draw 820 having her head held underwater. The hands are meant to be Acrid's.

06/14/2023 - A lot of these drawings of new-820 are better than I remembered... i thought it'd be a cute idea to show 820 being tortured in the past

06/14/2023 - and buying torture implements in the future and imply that the events were connected, somehow.

06/15/2023 - Sylvie looks perfect on a missing poster, I think. This was also where I decided that 820 and Brackish new each other before she was kidnapped, and revealed Brackish's full name. The "Selene" part is meant to be an obvious signifier that she chose that part herself, due to the moon/occult conntection, but it also sounds like "Saline," tying into the long-ago-abandoned intention for the 5 main charas to be related to the 5 flavors.

06/16/2023 - Another attemmpt at figuring out an Anemone logo... this one was because I wanted to put it on stickers, but the logo looked bad so the stickers were mostly left blank.

06/17/2023 - This was my second or third try at going out and drawing something from an in-person reference, and it was a lot of fun! I felt a little silly sitting there on the park bench staring daggers at the water tower, trying to figure out where the little panels and legs all went, but it turned out quite nice.

06/18/2023 - I just wanted to draw an excuse to draw an equipment-light 820 covered in bruises. >///<

06/19/2023 - Another early attempt at drawing with a background, which I think turned out pretty cute! It's also a rarre appearance of the full body in a drawing, and I think it turned out pretty good.

06/20/2023 - I remember the day that I drew this so well... my first real hike, it was such an amazing experience. It was so horribly rainy and miserable but I love every second of it.

07/07/2023 - and here's the main cast minus acrid all in swimsuits as well! I think brackish is cute here, but the rest didn't turn out great. The reason acrid is absent is that I was originally planning to follow-up by drawing her aiming a sniper rifle at them from a nearby rooftop, but I couldn't get the pose to look right.

07/18/2023 - I believe it was around this point in time that I began secretly working on a sort-of animation project. It would've depicted 820 waking up in bed next to her sister, trying to make breakfast and finding the entire kitchen empty, and there being a slow reveal that the house is much more run-down than it actually appears, eventually leading to an ending scene of her getting back into bed next to Victory's visibly rotting corpse.
